My Review
Here is my review of Adult Friend Finder (www.adultfriendfinder.com):
My name is Sarah, I am a 23 year old secretary who lives in LA.
I was quite wary of adult friend finder before I signed up. After all, I had never done the whole online dating thing and to go for a dating site which had ‘adult’ in the name was no easy first step. Having said this, I didn’t want to go through the whole wining and dining thing, I knew what I wanted. Along the way I thought I might meet somebody that took my interest but I didn’t have high hopes. To be completely honest I really just joined for fun at the start but found myself using the site more and more.
Anyway. I first found the site as a friend recommended it to me. She had just gone through a rough relationship and was looking for something on the rebound. After hearing her experiences I decided I’d give it a try. Initially I thought the site would just be full of men looking for an 18 year old girl but I was quite wrong. There were actually a number of women on there and by no means all of them had revealing pictures. Based on this knowledge, I made my account, choosing an almost random username and uploading a vague picture. At the start I had a real fear that someone I knew professionally might recognise me on the site but then I thought of three things which eased my fear. 1. You can choose how much information you show. 2. The chances of your boss running across you out of the millions of profiles is very unlikely and 3. If your boss is on it then why should you be worried? 
It didn’t take long for the first people to message me and I found it really thrilling reading what they wrote. Sitting with a glass of wine and going through my inbox was really thrilling. After a few days there were a few people I was interested in and I messaged them back. Being very used to facebook stalking, I was very good at looking up the profiles and pictures of these potential romances. Adult Friend Finder gives you quite a different thrill to facebook as you know what the people on there want, and you want the same. I felt naughty being a member of the site but at the same time it was so much fun that I couldn’t stop!
2 weeks later, after talking to one guy quite a lot, we arranged to meet. I was very wary of security and wanted to make sure that nothing would go wrong so I asked him to meet me in a starbucks and to sit right by the window. There were two advantages to this, one being the safety factor and the other being the fact that I could check out how this guy looked in real life! I wasn’t disappointed. The guy turned out to be great and it wasn’t long before we were having adult fun.
So how easy is adult friend finder to use? In reality, it is very easy. All you have to do is upload a couple of pictures of yourself (you don’t have to show your face at this point if you don’t want to, I didn’t) and then start messaging people. Some of my friends use the site a lot but never actually meet with anyone which is fine. Others go for video and chat only and some meet up with people and have fun. How you use the site is completely up to you. You will find, however, that the site is a lot of fun and you can actually meet some really interesting people on there. If you like facebook stalking then you will love adult friend finder!
After some time using the site, I decided to go for the premium option. It is not necessary but it just gives you a little bit more control over the features and so if you are using it quite a lot then I recommend it.
Of course, if you use the site you should be careful of freaks but this goes without saying really. I have had a lot of fun through the site and definitely suggest that you give it a try.
